My Internet Finds Of The Week #5

It’s a snowy sunday morning here in Hamburg. Walking Fritzi this morning was therefore very beautiful and calm. While I’m sitting here, drinking tea, the breadmashine is baking a garlic basil bread for the afternoon and Fritzi is sleeping under the table. I think it will be a perfect lazy sunday…. and what are you doing today?

Again, this week was filled with interesting internet finds, so I want to share a couple of things….

1. Who doesn’t like to eat a good burger? This recipe for an eggplant burger looks so mouthwatering that I need to try it very soon!

2. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I find it very important to share the true story of the flower industry. There are so many ways to show the people we love that we care about them. How about taking a walk in nature, instead of buying flowers? That way you can appreciate the beauty of nature and preserve it at the same time.

3. No week goes by without seeing so many cute animal pictures. Here my two favorites of last week:

4. In the last couple of weeks I helped family members move and after having carried so much stuff from one place to the other it became more clear to me, that I want to own less. Consuming is such a big part of the modern lifestyle and why they try to sell us the philosophy that more stuff will make us happier, I believe the exact opposite is the case. Less is more! Check out this article about a new movement that tries to promote this message. I think it’s very important that we all develope towards a less consuming society.

5. And another recipe. This breakfast granola looks like a must-try! I look forward to have it for breakfast soon!

So these were my internet finds of the week. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

PS: I just heared about the sad news, that Whitney Houston passed away. What a tragedy, she was still so young. May she rest in peace.
