Things I ♥ In Summer 2014

August 2, 2014

Happy weekend everybody! Some months have past since my last “Things I ♥” post and during that time I found new loves that I want to share with you today.

Is there anything you discovered as well? Let me know in the comments, I’m curious to hear!

Here is what I love lately:

1. Bamboo Toothbrush

My friend gave me this bamboo toothbrush from Hydro Phil and I love it! 100% biodegradable. Thank you KB!

2. true fruits Smoothies

I couldn’t pass these beautiful summer colored smoothies in the store and took them home to try. Usually I make smoothies myself, but these are so good, that I will buy them again.

3. Nuts & Fruits

Snack time!

Snack time!

We have a fantastic nuts & fruit stand on our local market and I go there almost every weekend to buy different nuts to snack on. For example I love this colorful nut & dried fruit mix. And another new discovery are caremelized hazelnuts. They are sooo good. I just wish they were healthy too! ; )

4. Nut milk bag

Talking about nuts… I love making nut milk at home. Before I bought these nut milk bags I used to press the milk through a sieve, which is ok too, but definitely more time consuming. These bags are made from organic hemp, a material that is naturally anti-mold. I’ve been using them a few times so far and won’t be using anything else again. So easy and simple! The Etsy store that sold these doesn’t exist anymore unfortunately but there are other stores that offer them too.

5. Organic Clipper Tea

I saw these in different stores already but never bought one. Now I finally tried these two flavors and they really do taste as delicious as they sound. I love putting coconut rice milk in the Chai Green tea. So good!

6. Pancake Breakfast

Starting the day with pancakes can only mean that it will be a good day. So why not do it more often? And in case there is not enough time for breakfast pancakes… dinner pancakes are just as good!

7. Sesame Salt

8. Walks in nature

I love summer time in Switzerland. There is so much to discover and therefor I love to go for walks in the wood or hikes in the mountains.

9. Necklace from Etsy

As you might know Etsy is m favorite place to shop. You don’t only get very individual things but also support small businesses. When I found this beautiful jewelry shop named ElleDeeNOLA I had to get something. It was very hard to choose, but I decided to get this pretty opalite necklace. : )

10. Apple Vinegar Hair Conditioner

Apple Vinegar is great for so many things and who would have thought that it would become my favorite hair product! The simplest things are often the best and in this case i was just amazed at how soft and shiny my hair became after using apple vinegar as a hair conditioner. First I wash my hair with shampoo and then I rinse it with a mix of vinegar and water (about 1/2 cup for long hair). Then I let it sit for some minutes and then rinse it well with water. The hair might smell a bit like apple vinegar but not for long. And I don’t even have to use it with every hair wash, every other hair wash will do.
